Mistake #1: Passively experiencing "good" days


⁠Why is it that when "good" days happen, we treat them as if they have magically occurred, without any action on our part? 🦄⁠

Promise me right now you will stop this...⁠

...instead, reflect on those days⁠.

If you can start piecing together what is happening on those "good" days, you will have very powerful information in your hands. ⁠

Are you:⁠

  • Sleeping well? ⁠
  • Eating well? ⁠
  • Engaging in self-care? ⁠
  • Connecting with others? ⁠
  • Exercising?⁠

If you can figure out the healthy habits that work for YOU, then you can repeat them and MAKE GOOD DAYS HAPPEN!⁠ (Disclaimer: you will still have stressful days. They are part of life. But the goal is to stress LESS!)⁠


Mistake #2: No Stress Less Strategy⁠


Coping with stress without a strategy is like playing darts with a blindfold on. Sometimes you get lucky and hit the ⁠🎯 (If you're like me, blindfolded or not, I am not getting anywhere near the bullseye 🙈).⁠

Start with this STRESS LESS strategy framework, and adjust as needed:⁠

  1. Name your emotion⁠
  2. Rate the intensity (0-10 is a good scale)⁠
  3. Do something to reduce the intensity.
  4. Re-evaluate (repeat steps 1&2)⁠
  5. If needed, repeat steps 3 & 4 ⁠
